GREEN CHILE BURGER
1/3 pound ground beef patty
Roasted and peeled New Mexico or Anaheim chiles, chopped and seasoned with salt
1 ounce pepper-jack cheese, shredded
Ranch dressing with roasted green chiles

I got this idea from a Food Network show about diner food. The restaurant they featured is famous for their green chile burgers topped with roasted New Mexico green chiles. Hatch chiles just happen to be in season right now so I bought a bunch and roasted them. I already had a small batch of my homemade Ranch-Style Salad Dressing made so I just ran it through my mini food processor with a few of the Hatch chiles and used that as a topping.

To assemble my burger, I placed it on a plate, topped it with a spoonful of the chopped green chiles and then some pepper-jack cheese. I melted the cheese then served the burger with the Ranch sauce. I can't give the carb counts because I didn't measure anything. Click the photo to see a close-up.
