ITALIAN MEATBALL BURGERS
1 pound ground beef
1 pound bulk Italian sausage
2 teaspoons dry minced onion
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup parmesan cheese (2 ounces)
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 batch Amy's Marinara Sauce, heated
6 tablespoons parmesan cheese (1 1/2 ounces)

Mix the first 8 ingredients in a large bowl using your fingers. Mix until the meat no long feels slimy from the eggs. Shape in 6 patties and place them on a foil-lined baking sheet. Broil about 5-6 minutes per side or until done to your liking. Serve topped with the marinara sauce and a tablespoon of parmesan cheese per burger.

VARIATION: Add sautéed mushrooms and/or bell peppers to the sauce (not included in the counts).
